Experience

I am a professionally qualified aerospace engineer with over 25 years of experience delivering structural design solutions on a variety of aircraft platforms for Boeing, Airbus, Gulfstream and Dassault. I have been responsible for delivering conceptual and detail design solutions ranging from individual components to very large complex assemblies and have a proven track record in leading design teams of up to 30 engineers in transnational work environments.

I have developed product designs from early concept phase through to installation on the airframe, working closely with manufacturing and external suppliers to achieve the optimal design for manufacture solutions. I am experienced in wing and fuselage structures integration and propulsion systems integration.

Volunteer Work

Red-Tailed Hawks Flying Club (nonprofit) - Associate Member, Volunteer, Parent and Grant Outreach

I first got involved with the Red-Tailed Hawks Flying Club (RTH) when my sons were in middle school. RTH offers a unique learning environment that provides a year-round aviation experience, including summer flying days where children get the chance to take control and fly a light aircraft. The organization offers an inclusive learning environment for students of all ethnic backgrounds with a focus on communities that are underrepresented and underserved within STEM related careers, especially in the field of aviation.

I began attending events as “just a parent” to support my sons, but I gradually increased my involvement with the organization as I saw the effect the program had on the kids. The more I have become familiar with the group and their mission, the more I knew I had to give back. Currently, I chaperone, mentor students, perform general volunteer activities and help write grants for the organization. Most recently, RTH invited my son to attend flight lessons and take his first solo flight at the ripe old age of 15. It was a chilling, nail-biting moment of pride for me.
